HTC is one of the companies that in the news for quite a while now with rumors of a potential new smartphone release. The device from HTC is known as HTC One or M7, and now more details have emerged.
A brand new image reportedly was obtained recently during a UEFA Champions League game featuring Scottish club Celtic and Italian giant Juventus held in Scotland, where the HTC One was confirmed as a product name on an electronic billboard just behind the goal.
There is a good chance that the new revelation is not a high-level mistake by HTC in revealing the name of a device that is still to be made official. It may be assumed that the official revelation of the device is just a few days away, although it is still not certain what the device will eventually be called: It might, instead, arrive as the M7.
Android Authority states: “But why has HTC jumped the gun and started advertising the HTC One? Is it already trying to get potential buyers talking about the unreleased device? Is it already feeling pressure from the Xperia Z and the upcoming Galaxy S4?”
HTC also listed a teaser image on its Twitter account to heighten the hype surrounding the new smartphone. The company has tweeted “19//2//13” on its official page, suggesting that HTC will indeed be showcasing the device during the announcement, and although the announcement has already been marred by a number of leaks and rumors, fans are still waiting to see what HTC actually comes up with.
As far as M7 rumors are concerned, while it was earlier reported that the M7 will make an appearance at HTC's Feb. 19 press event, another report revealed the company could hold a dual press event on both sides of the Atlantic — London and New York — for the release of the device.
HTC CEO Peter Chou also was heard chanting the device’s name at a company event, and the information was revealed from captured screenshots from a TV news broadcast of the event where Chou allegedly was seen using a white M7 to take a few shots of the crowd.
