How long will Microsoft tease us, how long should we wait to have Skype integrated into Outlook.com before we go crazy with over anticipation?
On March 7, 2013, Microsoft let loose an Outlook.com commercial on YouTube that showed Skype video calling in use. Previously, Outlook.com advertisements only highlighted things like social network integration, slideshows, photos and the new design, but this one is different - this one makes us feel Skype integration is not too long away on the horizon.
The video begins by showing the basic Outlook.com features, then at the 0.41 minute mark, we get to see Skype use in action. It has been a long time coming since Microsoft promised to integrate Skype into Outlook.com, we were wondering if it would ever happen again. Thankfully, due to this video, hope is not lost and we can yet again go back to playing the waiting game.
Outlook.com is the newest email Web client from Microsoft; it brings to the table an all-new modern design that is quite more usable when compared to Gmail. Users have the ability to share anything without worrying about size, as Outlook.com is well integrated with SkyDrive.
For the lazy within us all, Outlook.com has the option to organize automatically your inbox. I have yet to use this feature, so I'm not too sure how well it works. Furthermore, Outlook.com connects with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Google, so from within the inbox, users can talk to their Facebook friends, see what is happening on Twitter, have access to all their Google contacts and more.
It's a pretty powerful platform, but like Hotmail, Outlook.com is still prone to spam attacks in the Inbox.
Have a look at the video below.
