The Motorola X phone is once again in news as a new render appears on the Internet. The yet to be announced Android smartphone from Motorola was shown in some earlier released renders also, but this time the render has come with some details about the phone's specifications too.
Accroding to a report from GSM Arena, a tipster sent the tech news website a picture of Motorola's upcoming Android smartphone that everyone sees as Motorola X phone.
GSM Arena claims that the tipster is someone working very closely with the X phone team in Motorola.
"Along with the render came a short description of the specs, as reported by a person close to the team behind the X Phone. Since we got no proof of that information or the actual source of the tip, you'd do well to take this with more than a pinch of salt," the report says.
The render arrived with a list of specifications of the smartphone. Some of the specification match with earlier rumored specifications and some of them tell a completely different story.
According to the new rumors, the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and will have a 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 resolution display. The phone will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and have Gorilla Glass 3 from Corning as the display protection.
The latest thing in the phone's specification found in the most recent rumor is that the X phone is going to be water resistant. The phone is said to be IP57 certified; this is like the certification Sony Xperia Z has got for its water resistance.
IP57 certification means the phone can stay water resistant up to a meter of water for about 30 minutes.
The Motorola X phone is rumored to be announced during the Google I/O which is going to take place in San Francisco from May 15.
