Benchmark tests like AnTuTu and Bluetooth SIG have always been some of the major sources to get to know about upcoming smartphones and tablets, and now we have something about a Samsung device directly from AnTuTu benchmark results.
An unknown device with Samsung branding was spotted in AnTuTu benchmark results and the test result shows that the device's performance during the test was pretty impressive.
According to The Droid Guy, the device bears model number GT-P5200 and gets the score of 24616. The device was found running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on a 1.6 MHz processor.
The points scored by the device show that it is going to be a device as powerful as the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S4 smartphone. The Galaxy S4 had scored 24716 points in the benchmark test and now it looks like this new device is going be somewhere at par with the Galaxy S4.
As Samsung is expected to release the 7-inch version of the Galaxy Tab 3 soon and the last version of Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 came with the model number GT-P5100, we can assume that the spotted device can be the successor to the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
The 7-inch version of the Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy Tab 3 came with model numbers GT-P3100 and GT-P3200 respectively. Samsung might carry on with the same strategy for the 10.1-inch version of Galaxy Tab 3, too.
We can't say anything about the display and other parts of the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, as nothing is available regarding the hardware of the device as of now, but we can guess about the processor.
The two versions (7- and 10.1-inch) of the Galaxy Tab 2 came with the same dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, but the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 sports a dual-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.2 GHz.
The score in AnTuTu suggests that the upcoming device will be powered by a processor that has more than two cores. In that case the presence of Samsung's own Exynos 5 Octa can be expected in the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
