The Galaxy Note 3 may launch in the UK on Sept. 16, followed by the Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) on Sept. 24, on Three's network.

Both Samsung and Sony will unveil their newest handsets in a just a few days, at the IDA trade show in Berlin. Samsung has already confirmed it will be launching its Galaxy Note 3 phablet, as well as its first smartwatch, at the event. Sony will take the wraps off its latest flagship, the Xperia Z1, on the same date.

Engadget now claims to have received a tip from one of its sources, who shared a leaked document from Three UK. The purported roadmap shows that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will hit the carrier on Sept. 16 and the Xperia Z1 will follow shortly, on Sept. 24.

Both the Sony Xperia Z1 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are among the most highly-anticipated devices of this year, and both are expected to launch with top-of-the-line specs.

The Xperia Z1, previously dubbed Honami, will reportedly sport a 5-inch Full HD (1080p) Triluminous display with X-Reality for mobile, pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, Adreno 300 graphics and run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The handset is also expected to come with 16GB of internal storage capacity and 2GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. The Xperia Z1 will further boast a 20-megapixel rear camera with ExmorRS for mobile, Sony G-Lens and BIONZ for mobile, as well as support for 4K video recording. A 2-megapixel rear-facing shooter, meanwhile, will allow for self-shots and video chats.

Other specs and features of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z1 reportedly include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, water- and dust-resistance, and a large, non-removable 3,000 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3, meanwhile, is expected to come in two versions: one with a Samsung Exynos octa-core processor and the other with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. Both variants will reportedly pack 3GB of RAM.

The next-generation phablet will reportedly boast a massive 5.68-inch Full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display and ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, topped by Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX. Available configurations are expected to include 32GB and 64GB models.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will reportedly use the same 13-megapixel camera found on the current Galaxy S4 flagship smartphone, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. Other specs and features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, enhanced S-pen applications, a micro SD slot for additional memory and a large removable battery.

While the purportedly leaked internal document from Three UK gives a timeline for when the two handsets might make their commercial debut, it does not guarantee that Three will be the first carrier to start offering them. It also does not guarantee that these dates will remain unchanged.

With Sept. 4 just around the corner, both devices will become official soon enough and the companies will reveal more details regarding specs, pricing and availability. Stay tuned.
