BLU Products' new Life Pure smartphone brings a 5-inch full HD display, a quad-core processor and a high-end 13-megapixel camera for just $349.
While not everyone has heard of BLU Products, the company has launched several neat smartphones this year. The Life Pure, however, takes it up a notch and comes as a high-end smartphone with a very affordable price tag.
"The Life Pure as its name suggests is art in its purest form, created from a single piece polycarbonate using the latest CNC technology, then each individually hand crafted, resulting in beautifully designed hardware," BLU Products CEO Samuel Ohev-Zion touted in the press release. "When combined with equally stunning software, the final result is a device that should be appreciated as different and captivating to look at."
BLU's new Life Pure is the company's first smartphone to boast a 1080p display and such high-end specs. The 5-inch touchscreen is a scratch-resistant OGS panel with a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch (ppi), and is surrounded by a thin bezel on the sides. Under the hood, the smartphone packs a quad-core Cortex A7 (MediaTek MT6589T) processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM.
Other specs include 32GB of internal storage capacity, a whopping 5-megapixel front-facing camera with full HD capabilities and a 13-megapixel rear shooter.
"The BLU LIFE PURE features the most advanced 13MP camera ever in a BLU device with advanced technologies and software such as second generation back-side illumination, anti-reflection coating, and a 5-element lens, resulting in amazing photos at any time, as well as a front facing 5 megapixel camera capable of Full HD imaging, coupled with software such as auto beauty effects and instant facial beauty support for selfies."
The smartphone also comes with some neat features, including DTS surround audio technology, dual mic noise cancellation, and stereo recording. Software enhancements include Smart Dial, Gesture Answer, Picture Air Browse, Alarm Pause, Video Smart Pause, and others. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and HSPA+. The Life Pure ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The new BLU Life Pure is already shipping to various distributors, dealers and online retailers in the US and Latin America, sporting a very attractive price tag of $349 unlocked. The smartphone is available in Matte Black and Ceramic White color options.
