AT&T is now offering the LG G2 and Moto X for free when agreeing to sign a new two-year contract. The offer stands until Jan. 31.
Both the LG G2 and the Motorola Moto X have stirred plenty of interest among consumers, and now the two smartphones are available without any upfront cost from AT&T, as long as interested buyers sign a two-year contract and opt for qualified data plans with the carrier.
The LG G2 is a high-end smartphone with lots of great specs and features, but it is its unique design that makes it stand out from the crowd. The LG G2 sports an intriguing "Rear Key Concept," which places the volume rocker and power button on the rear of the handset instead of on the sides, as with most smartphones. According to LG, this new design allows for a better grip and easier one-handed use, despite the handset's large display.
In terms of specifications, the LG G2 sports a generous 5.2-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. Other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto focus, LED flash, digital zoom, and other neat features, and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. The smartphone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but an update to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat is expected shortly. A large 3,000 mAh battery should allow for at least an entire day of usage on a single charge.
The Moto X, meanwhile, sports mostly mid-range specifications, but it does offer some neat functionality that allows users to easily control their smartphone through voice commands. The handset features a 4.7-inch HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, packs a Motorola X8 mobile computing system and offers a decent battery performance due to its 2,200 mAh unit. While the Moto X's main point of attraction is its advanced customization options through Moto Maker, AT&T is only offering the standard white and black Moto X for free.
If you're interested in AT&T's new offer, head here to get the LG G2 or here to grab the Moto X. Remember that these two smartphones are only available for free when agreeing to sign a two-year contract with AT&T, and the offer expires on Jan. 31.
