The 11-inch Lenovo Yoga 2 convertible tablet has finally gone on sale, and it is now available for a $549 starting price from the company's website.
The new Lenovo Yoga 2 hybrid has stirred plenty of interest due to the neat specs and functionality that it has to offer. The convertible tablet is available in two models and it packs either an Intel Pentium N3520 (2.40GHz 1333MHz 2MB) processor or an Intel Celeron N2920 (2.00GHz 1066MHz 2MB), coupled with 4GB of DDR3L RAM. On the software side, the device runs Microsoft's latest Windows 8.1 operating system on a 64-bit architecture.
The Lenovo Yoga 2 Multitouch hybrid has a 2-in-1 design that allows users to move the 11.6-inch touch screen up to 360 degrees for more convenience.
"Yoga 2 brings affordable multimode computing into reach. The budget-friendly Yoga 2's 10-point multitouch display flips back 360 degrees to offer four different usage modes - Laptop, Tablet, Stand, and Tent. Life has many modes - so should your technology," touts the product description on Lenovo's website.
Other features of the new Lenovo Yoga 2 Windows 8.1 convertible include a 500GB hard drive and Intel HD graphics for quality visuals. The 11.6-inch HD LED Multitouch display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The hybrid device also comes with Lenovo BGN Wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and a 4-cell 34Whr Lithium-Ion battery should provide a decent battery life.
The model with an Intel Celeron processor on board costs $549, while the higher-end version with an Intel Pentium CPU goes up to $599. These prices are after applying coupon code YOGA2OFFER for a $150 discount, as noted on the product page. This coupon discount offer is available until Apr. 2. The device is listed as available in a single Light Silver color option (for both models) for now and comes with a one-year warranty.
Lenovo has yet to announce an official launch date for its new convertible tablet, but it may take a little while longer to have it delivered. The company's website currently lists the Lenovo Yoga 2 as set to ship in 3 weeks. Without an official and precise release date announced, however, you may want to check with Lenovo about delivery dates before actually placing an order.
