Moto 360, LG G Watch R hit T-Mobile retail stores on Nov. 19
Staff ReporterThe Moto 360 and the LG G Watch round-shaped smartwatches are set to hit T-Mobile retail stores next week, on Nov. 19.
T-Mobile is already selling the Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch for $249.99, but for now it's only online. Come Nov. 19, interested customers will also be able to purchase the gadget from T-Mobile retail stores nationwide. Qualified customers can also get the Moto 360 for $0 down and $10.41 for 23 months, plus $10.56 for the 24th month.
"Powered by Android Wear, the Moto 360 is a sleek and modern smartwatch, offering T-Mobile customers the ability to do far more than just telling them the time. For example, the Moto 360 syncs to a customer's compatible T-Mobile smartphone via Bluetooth to provide text messages, emails and calendar updates, check the weather and even track fitness activities thanks to a built-in pedometer and heart-rate monitor - all within a simple glance of their wrist," touts T-Mobile in a press release.
With the Moto 360 drawing so much attention thanks to its classic, circular form factor, LG came up with a smartwatch of its own - the LG G Watch R. T-Mobile will be adding the LG G Watch R to its lineup as well, selling the device for $299.99 starting on Nov. 19. Qualified customers will also be able to get the gadget for $50 down and $10.41 for 23 months, followed by $10.56 for the 24th month.
"The LG G Watch R sports a full circle Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display and while it looks like a traditional timepiece, T-Mobile customers will experience much more when synced with their compatible smartphone running on the fastest 4G LTE network nationwide. Customers can stay up-to-date with email, texts and social media while on-the-go, track their heart rate and activity levels and even say 'Ok Google' to search for directions to the closest T-Mobile store for all their holiday shopping needs," adds the Uncarrier in its press release.
Both the Motorola Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R run Google's Android Wear platform for wearable devices, and both are compatible with Android 4.3 or higher. The gadgets pair with smartphones via Bluetooth, enabling users to receive smartwatch notifications such as emails, messages, and others. Both smartwatches sport round displays, pack 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage capacity, and both look and feel premium.
