UK carrier O2 has officially started offering the Google Nexus 6 to its customers on Thursday, Dec. 4, complete with a limited-time deal to celebrate the launch.

The Google Nexus 6 has had somewhat of a rocky debut so far, especially in the UK. While the U.S. Play Store has been listing the Nexus 6 for quite some time now, albeit with insufficient inventory, its UK counterpart still doesn't have the device in stock.

The Nexus 6 has been available in the UK for a few weeks now, but only through some carriers and third-party retailers such as Carphone Warehouse. Another carrier has now joined the party, as O2 has finally started selling the device.

Moreover, the carrier is offering a limited-time deal that will get Nexus 6 buyers unlimited text and minutes, as well as 2GB of data, for £38 (roughly $60), with no upfront cost for the device. This deal will expire on Dec. 18.

Like most other carriers, including those in the U.S., O2 is only offering the 32GB Midnight Blue variant of the Nexus 6 for now. This means that interested buyers looking for the 64GB model will have to wait a while longer, as the version is not yet available. Meanwhile, those who prefer the white model of the handset can get it only from Carphone Warehouse, as the retailer currently has the exclusive rights to sell this version in the UK.

As a reminder, the new Google Nexus 6 made in collaboration with Motorola sports a massive 5.96-inch AMOLED display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 3,220 mAh battery, among the highlights.

On the software side, the Nexus 6 rocks the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, as it served as one of the launch vehicles for the new OS version.
