LG G Flex 2 already up for pre-order in Europe, available for €599
Alexandra BurlacuThe LG G Flex 2 made its debut at CES 2015 last week and has already gone up for pre-order in Europe, surfacing on Amazon Germany.
The new curved-display handset from LG is expected to make its commercial debut later this month in select markets, with other countries set to get it next month.
Signaling an imminent launch, the LG G Flex 2 is now available for pre-order in Europe, as Amazon Germany lists the device with a €599 price tag. It's worth pointing out that this price is notably lower than that of the original LG G Flex, which had a whopping €850 price tag in its first days of availability. Amazon Germany doesn't list any specific shipping date for the LG G Flex 2, but it shouldn't take too long now.
As a reminder, the new LG G Flex 2 boasts notable improvements on all fronts compared to its predecessor. In terms of specifications, the handset sports a 5.5-inch Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and packs a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 mobile processor under the hood, paired with 2GB of RAM for a fast and fluid performance.
Other specs of the new LG G Flex 2 smartphone include either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage capacity, complete with microSD support for additional memory. The smartphone further comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with advanced features such as Laser Auto Focus and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 2.1-megapixel front shooter, and a 3,000 mAh battery to keep things up and running. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE, among the highlights.
On the software side, the LG G Flex 2 runs the new Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Other neat features include a self-healing back plate just like its predecessor, albeit this time the technology is more advanced.
LG has yet to offer exact launch dates for its new G Flex 2 in various markets, but it seems that Germany is among the first countries to get the device. For more details or to pre-order the LG G Flex 2 from Amazon Germany, head over to the product page on the retailer's website at this link.
