ZTE Launches Grand X 3 And Avid Plus AT CES 2016
Mary Cris BalancioIt seems like ZTE doesn't want to be left behind in this year's CES as it too has launched new smartphones to add to its credentials. The two new ZTE smartphones are the Grand X 3 and the Avid Plus. The ZTE Grand X 3 has an MSRP of $129.99 USD and will be available exclusively to Cricket Wireless in the U.S., while the Avid Plus will be available off contract for $114.99 USD and will be made available on T-Mobile and on MetroPCS as well.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer's Grand X 3 model has a 5.5-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop on a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor. It has a RAM of 2GB and an internal storage of 16GB, which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. Grand X 3 sports an 8-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front shooter. It is powered by a 3,080mAh battery.
On the other hand, the ZTE Avid Plus smartphone has a 5-inch FWVGA LCD display and a 480 x 854 pixel resolution. It has a Dragontrail scratch-resistant glass. Avid Plus will also be running Android 5.1 Lollipop but on a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead. It will have an internal storage of 8GB, which is also expandable via a microSD card up to 32GB and a 1GB of RAM. This smartphone model will be powered by a 2,300mAh battery. Avid Plus sports a 5-megapixel rear shooter and a 2-megapixel front shooter.
The two new inexpensive phones are launched in order to gain more users for the growing tech company. So far, the company has confirmed that it already has 20 million users in the U.S. alone.
ZTE USA Chairman and CEO Lixin Cheng has confirmed this in a statement saying they will continue their mission in delivering affordable premium smartphones with their new Grand X 3 model. Their users are now 20 million in the U.S. With their ZTE phones, they aim to provide affordable connectivity that could help their users, encourage individuality and open a world of possibilities.
Cheng adds that their Avid Plus model is a phone with a wide appeal. Anyone who is looking for an affordable, durable and reliable device to stay connected can depend on the Avid Plus to fulfill these needs.
