ZTE has teamed up with Boost Mobile for yet another low-priced smartphone featuring big screen.

The big screen seems to be the fad of 2017 as far as smartphones are concerned. Probably bearing that in mind, ZTE announced it is now offering a 6-inch screen phone dubbed, Max XL on Tuesday, April 25 on the company's official website and later a tweet from ZTE USA (@zteusa) confirmed the phone's arrival.

ZTE Max XL Price & Availability In The U.S.

The ZTE Max XL is currently up for grabs in the United States, through Sprint's Boost Mobile for a no-contract price of $129.99. The phone is available on Boost Mobile and it ships to anywhere in the U.S. free. There's a promotional discount of $28 on the original price, meaning, the phone is currently available for just $101.99.

ZTE Max XL Specifications & Features

The mammoth 6-inch screen on the Max XL is an IPS display carrying a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The Gorilla Glass 3 offers added scratch protection to the entire display.

The Max XL runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, which is quite unusual when buying a new phone these days as even flagship phones are still shipping with the older Android 7.0. Under the hood, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 octa-core processor, which is clocked at 1.4 GHz. The new phone from ZTE has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

In terms of optics, the ZTE Max XL sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter for the selfie addicts. It also features a fingerprint sensor on the rear, AndroidAuthority reported. Moreover, the Max XL is backed by a large 3,990 mAh battery, which according to ZTE is capable of offering up to 26.6 hours of talk time on just a single charge.

So, the ZTE Max XL is a low-priced phone with a brand new chip. The real selling point of the phone is Android 7.1.1 out of the box, though. Aside from that, the phone supports Sprint's HPUE LTE technology (Boost is a prepaid brand owned by Sprint). That spells better coverage and faster data.

A version of ZTE Max XL is expected to come to Sprint and Virgin Mobile in near future. What do you think about the recently announced phone's hardware specs, price, and availability? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
