Reliability and affordability is a good combination for those who are budget conscious but doesn't want to compromise the quality of the product. ZTE is just about to roll out a well thought-out phone but a budget-friendly one, The ZTE Max XL.

The device is expected to hit the market this week, which is considered to be an upgrade of ZTE Max Pro. Though they almost identically the same, the Chinese company do insist that Max XL is an updated Pro with an incredible low tag price of $130 and they are not promoting the two devices as the same model. With Max XL low cost, ZTE is providing their customers with a phone that includes amazing features like a 6-inch IPS full HD 1080p display, a 5MP front camera, and 13MP rear camera., according to The Verge.

It also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 1.4 GHz processor and run by Android 7.1.1 Nougat, a 2GB RAM and a16GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB through micro SD, says Tech Radar. In addition, the new device also features a 4G network, a fingerprint sensor and packed with a 3,990mAh battery, which is one of the biggest selling points of the device. What is just not so amazing with this phone is its rear-firing speaker, it doesn't sound good and the location where it is placed is a bit off.

When holding it, the speaker will easily be covered by your hand. Also, the previous phone Max Pro from ZTE has no dynamic range and sharpness, as well as it was not efficient with low light, this might also be the case on the new Max XL. However, Phone Arena reported that it can already be expected to come with its price. On the other hand, being a device that appeals to the budget sector yet having to include a USB-C charging and a battery that can be charged relatively quickly, which is due to Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology, it is still quite a smart choice. ZTE Max Pro was exclusive to MetroPCS and T-Mobile while the Max XL is exclusive for Boost Mobile, which is a Sprint MVNO, and Virgin Mobile. In Boost Mobile, it will be available on a 2GB plan with unlimited talk and text for auto-renew at $30 and $35 without. Users can also subscribe to Unlimited Gigs plan with unlimited talk, text, and date for $50 a month. The company has not released any details yet regarding the phone's monthly lease.
