NVIDIA launched Ge Force GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 a day ago before the DreamHack event in Austin Convention Center as announced by CEO Jen-Hsun Huang.

The chief executive revealed that these Pascal-based GeForce graphics cards were the result of "several billions of dollars of R&D" spent and over two years of perfecting the product with the help of thousands of engineers, as per Hot Hardware report.

As the website wrote, the new GeForce cards are comprised of some "8 billion transistors and features a 256-bit memory interface and 8GB of Micron GDDR5X graphics memory -- commonly referred to as G5X -- or 8GB of standard GDDR5 in the case of the GTX 1070."

Furthermore, the newly launched graphic cards are also built on 16nm FinFET manufacturing process which is specially designed for gaming purposes with Micron's next generation GDDRR5X graphics memory technology.

More than that, Forbes noted that both cards carry 8GB of memory and it runs on the 2.1GHz core clock and 5.5GHz memory interface. The latest versions allegedly surpassed its predecessor: the GeForce GTX Titan X.

Speaking of the price, Ge Force GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 have a price tag of $599 and $379 respectively. More good news about the price is that there will be a "Founder's Edition" GeForce GTX 1080 for $699, but regular cards using the same GPU will land at $100 less from May 27, noted Slash Gear.

With all of the promising features, the release of Ge Force GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 could mark the success of NVIDIA because of its aim to target the gaming industry. The products are expected to be available in the next few weeks, with the GeForce GTX 1080 probably on May 27th, while the GeForce GTX 1070 is said to arrive on June 10.
