The Electronic Entertainment Expo has attracted people from all walks of life, and this year is no exception.
Celebrities joined the huge "Battlefield 1" 64-person multiplayer match held immediately after Electronic Arts' media presentation today, which was live-streamed on Twitch and on EA's official website. The match is part of the game publisher's EA Play event.
Actors Jamie Foxx, Zac Efron and Terry Crews, as well as sports personalities Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman joined the fray. Rappers Wiz Khalifa, The Game, Lupe Fiasco and Snoop Dogg also participated. Snoop Dogg was even caught smoking what looks like pot during the game, Kotaku Australia reported.
Unfortunately, none of the A-list celebrities were actually good at the game, with each of them getting subpar kill-death records, according to a Twitter post by PS4 Germany.
Wiz Khalifa got top ranks among the celebrities, getting a kill-death record of 2-11 and scoring only 7056 points. Seattle Seahawks cornerback Sherman got 9 kills and 11 deaths and got a score of 6891, while The Game got a 4-7 record and 6117 points.
Zac Efron got decent scores compared to the rest, with the "High School Musical" star getting a 2-11 kill-death record and a score of 2650. EDM music producer Zedd also got an acceptable score of 3029 and a 4-9 kill-death record.
The other celebrities did not do as well as the first mentioned celebrities. "Django Unchained" lead actor Jamie Foxx got a dismal 1-9 record and only 1142 points. Producer Lupe Fiasco, who is a video game fan and has previously beaten professional gamer Daigo Umehara in "Street Fighter 5", did not do equally well in "Battlefield 1", getting only 945 points and 7 deaths.
"The Expendables" actor Terry Crews got only 585 points, no kills and 8 deaths, but got the approval of the Reddit PC community for proudly using a mouse and keyboard for the match instead of a controller.
Xbox's very own director of programming Larry Hryb also joined the multiplayer battle, getting a kill-death record of 3-12 and a score of 5763.
