Windows 10 Anniversary Update: Bulit-In Apps And Start Menu To Receive Quality Improvements; Microsoft Edge Set To Rise
Dheeraj RThe much-awaited Windows 10 anniversary update is reported to bring in more quality improvements to the Microsoft's operating system. It is reported that the new update will enhance many built-in apps and the start menu of the OS.
Windows Blog Post claimed that the start menu will feature a never-seen-before dark theme with some major tweaks. The operating system will sport various battery control options, which will lead to minimal battery drain for the Microsoft's devices.
Furthermore, the upcoming Windows 10 anniversary update will add few minor tweaks to various built-in applications. ARS Technica reported that the Action Handles app is expected to receive major priority and display notifications upgrade. The updated operating system will feature a new stylus-friendly app called as Microsoft Ink for creating doodles, taking notes, etc.
On the other hand, First Post reported that the personal assistant for Windows 10, Cortana, will also receive a major upgrade on the anniversary of the tenth installment of the OS. The update is reported to enable the digital aide to understand natural-language requests of the Windows 10 users. Cortana will also be able to connect and communicate with other devices easily. She will reportedly be capable of finding music both locally and in Microsoft's Groove Music Catalog at a faster rate.
Also, the Windows 10 web browser, Microsoft Edge, will receive many updates on the anniversary occasion. The Verge noted that the browser will consist of enabled extensions like Ad blocker, Last Pass, Office tool, Save to Pocket and pin tabs option. The Edge browser will use less RAM, CPU and battery power and will still work considerably faster with the help of latest update.
Apart from the major updates, many bug issues of the Windows 10 operating system will also be fixed. The OS users will also be able to carry out clean installation and reinstallation process easily.
The Windows 10 anniversary update is slated to be released on July 29, 2016.
