Update on the upcoming Apple Watch 2 hinted that it will break the trend of OLED screen support by including another trending display option.

Digi Times reported that the wearable will consist of Micro LED display, which will provide a small twist to its functioning. The new display technology is rumored to provide the users with boosted battery life and thus, make the Apple Watch 2 more efficient as compared to its predecessor.

Furthermore, reports claimed that the new smartwatch will sport thinner screen because of the Micro LED display technology. Thus, the Apple Watch 2 is expected to be much slimmer and lighter as compared to the previous wearable, reported Mirror.

Apart from that, another exciting feature is the recently launched WatchOS 3. IT Pro reported that the applications on the Apple Watch 2 will be launched around seven times faster because of the new operating system. The WatchOS 3 is also expected to make the app navigation much simpler and faster in the upcoming smartwatch as compared to its predecessors.

Meanwhile, Mac World reported that the Apple Watch 2 might include a Night Shift mode, which would most probably be based on watch's timing and geo-location. Reports suggest that this new feature will make the screen colors warm, which is expected to allow the users to sleep better at night.

Moreover, the upcoming gadget from Apple will also consist of a Breathe app, which is expected to calm people in alarming and difficult situations by guiding with a number of breathing exercises.

In addition to all the new features, the Apple Watch 2 will also consist of a FaceTime camera and SOS application which will allow users to call for local emergency services and share their location.

The Apple Watch 2 is expected to be released in September.
