'Cyberpunk 2077' Release Date Won't Be Until 2018? CD Projekt Red Now Hiring For Sci-Fi RPG Title
Jazz RosinGame development studio CD Projekt Red is now looking for qualified applicants for various positions to start on their highly anticipated IP, "Cyberpunk 2077."
It looks like it would be another long wait for CD Projekt Red's promising AAA title as the development studio is now just starting to hire people to work on the Sci-fi RPG game.
There are a lot of job postings related to "Cyberpunk 2077" on the dev's page, but the one that caught the attention of most people is the producer posting for the game.
"CD Projekt Red is looking for an exceptional and well-organized Producer who will manage designers' and artists' teams and cooperate closely with Game Directors and Executive Producers to coordinate development processes within the studio," the description on the page said.
The producer will also be in charge of overseeing schedules and submitting progress reports, as well as interviewing and hiring new candidates.
Interestingly, the job also comes with free Polish lessons for foreign employees. CD Projekt Red is based in Poland, so this is a no-brainer, but still a welcome perk especially for interested applicants outside of Poland.
Since CD Projekt Red is still looking for a producer for "Cyberpunk 2077," it can be speculated that fans would not be seeing anything from this game until 2018, according to Playstation Lifestyle.
This does not mean, however, that the studio is just starting the game now after the successful release of the "Blood and Wine" DLC for its critically acclaimed title "The Witcher 3."
Nevertheless, CD Projekt Red would still be within its self-imposed deadline as the Polish studio set the release of "Cyberpunk 2077" between 2017 to 2021, according to its 2015 Financial Results, Dualshockers reported.
The same financial report also mentioned that another AAA RPG title is planned within the same release window, along with continuous active marketing and support for its earlier titles, "The Witcher" and upcoming spinoff title "Gwent: The Witcher Card Game."
CD Projekt Red's co-founder Marcin Iwinski already confirmed in an interview with Eurogamer that the studio will not be talking about "Cyberpunk 2077" until the game is ready. With that said, it looks like fans won't be hearing from this game in the next few years.
