Microsoft Surface Phone is expected to be launched in a few months' time at the company's technical event in October. In order to provide you with an overview of the device, below we have jotted down the expected specs and features of the device.

Should the Microsoft Surface phone be released this year, then it will be made available in three different variants like the entry level, the mid-range, and the enterprise sector class? The main reason behind this is to tackle the huge competition in the smartphone market. The three variants will vary in terms of their processor and storage capacity.

In terms of processor and storage specs, reports claimed that the base model of the Surface device will sport Intel Kaby Lake processor with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage capacity. The other two variants are expected to consist of the same chipset. They will also sport 6 GB RAM with 256 GB internal storage and 8 GB RAM with 512 GB storage capacity.

Furthermore, The Bit Bag reported that the new Microsoft Surface Phone will offer the users to Continuum support, which will allow them to connect their phone to other big display devices. Also, the new smartphone from the Redmond-based technology giant is expected to consist of a USB Type-C port along with liquid cooling technology for better performance.

Besides, there are reports that the new device might also be compatible with different Microsoft accessories, such as the Surface Pen. Reports claimed in terms of the software specs, the Surface phone will run on the upgraded version of the Windows 10 operating system.

It is stated that the Microsoft Surface phone will be priced in the range $699 up to $1099 depending on its configurations.  Meanwhile, even if the rumors hinted that the device will be released this year, few reports claimed that Microsoft will not unveil the smartphone until March 2017.
