The latest GoPro Hero 5 news and rumors have suggested that the upcoming device will boast of certain new features.

Consumers must be excited to know about the things that the company will be introducing through the fifth generation of the action camera.

What could be the enhancements that they are planning to incorporate in the upgraded version of GoPro Hero 4?

According to Tech Thai Visa, one of the most exciting features of the highly-anticipated GoPro Hero 5 is the GPS.

As explained by the site, the integration of the GPS feature means that photos and videos will be tagged automatically based on your current location.

Such files would also be stored in metadata which will be useful once you share them on your social media accounts.

Another benefit of the GPS is the capacity to track the elevation or speed which will be helpful in warning you about "how far you have dropped while on a particularly daring snowboarding session."

Meanwhile, with the expectation that the upcoming GoPro Hero 5 model will be smaller and lighter, consumers can expect that it will be more convenient to use.

In the meantime, The Verge reported that based on the leaked video of the new device, which was posted on Vimeo and Reddit, it was noted that it will sport a touchscreen.

Considering this, the news outlet surmised that "the bus connector - the inch-long slot that allowed users to attach extra batteries, LCD screens, and other accessories to previous GoPro models - could be on its way out."

Furthermore, as described by The Verge, the "record" button of the new device from the GoPro, Inc. is already "raised" while the camera is anticipated to sport "rounded edges."

Apart from these specs, the recent GoPro Hero 5 rumors pointed out that it will still have the standard features - Wi-Fi and a microphone.
