Forget About 'Red Dead Redemption 2' For Now: 'Red Dead Redemption Remastered' Is On Its Way To PS4, PC

While the hype train for "Red Dead Redemption 2" is still at an all time high, fans still haven't seen anything solid to see the game coming out. Instead, "Red Dead Redemption Remastered" is on its way to fill in the gaps with new-gen console owners and even the PC gamers.

It has been years since the release of "Red Dead Redemption" on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and it never saw the daylight on the PC. That is to end now if Korean site GameFocus' sources are correct.

"Red Dead Redemption" has been recently added to Xbox One's backwards compatibility list, but strange as it may seem, Rockstar and Take-Two might letting PS4 and PC owners the chance to experience the game as well.

One thing to note in the website was the report stated that the game might be not be released for the Xbox One, which is justifiable given the prior backwards compatibility.

According to the report, instead of "Red Dead Redemption 2," Rockstar and Take-Two might be introducing "Red Dead Redemption Remastered" instead in the upcoming event this September 7.

Some news sites like Destructoid are skeptical about how this will come to happen and they do have a good reason second guessing it. Rockstar isn't a company that makes announcements for major IPs on Sony events.

Still, "Red Dead Redemption Remastered" has a better chance of being revealed instead of the highly-rumored "Red Dead Redemption 2" for all the obvious reasons with one being the development cycle and progress.

The nature that these information got leaked was similar to how the recent "Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection" surfaced so fans might be hopeful with seeing John Marston soon in PS4 and PC, at least with a remastered game while waiting for the ever-elusive "Red Dead Redemption 2."
