iMac 2016: New Apple PC To Be Released In October? Specs, Features & Latest Updates
Anish AsokanWith Apple fans awaiting another major announcement from Apple as the holiday season sets in, the month of October could be a strategic month for the company in terms of launching its new products, including the latest iMac.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple does have the trend of releasing its new devices in last weeks of October. With that being said, there is huge possibility that we could see a new iMac possibly featuring a 5k display.
Rumors suggested major overhauls are highly unlikely to the iMacs, at least for the time being. The general anticipation is Apple would have the Intel-based CPUs under its hood.
The probability to see the new generation Kaby Lake chips is low .It is possible that certain models of iMacs could be fuelled by the Polaris set of AMDs. This is mostly due to the reports of AMD winning the contract for graphics chips for Cupertino-giant by WCCF Tech.
Polaris graphic chips can offer faster speeds with lower power consumptions compared with many available graphics chips in the market. These features should help in raising the resolution especially when it comes to gaming.
The other most-talked about capability has been the VR capability. Perhaps, in October, we could see the new iMacs with VR capabilities. With Polaris 10 and 11 aiding in improvising the VR experience, apple lovers could be looking for some excitement on this front.
There is a possibility of seeing fusion drives as the default storage in new iMacs. Many feel that this feature can enhance the future generation of iMacs. There are also rumors that flash storage could be next storage standard from the upcoming iMacs, which could lead to better read and write speeds.
iMacs have been one of the most popular devices from Apple. Fans would definitely love to see this best-selling product to bring in some of the best and innovative technology marvels under its armor. Stay tuned for more updates as we gather more on the new iMac.
