Niantic and The Pokemon Company's "Pokemon GO" game has enjoyed success among new and old fans of the creature-hunting franchise. Now, months after it was first released, a limited supply of "Pokemon Go Plus" accessories are now available for pre-order.
Online Resellers now Selling the 'Pokemon GO Plus' For $130
According to Gamenguide, the fast-selling "Pokemon GO" accessory is now available online. Two of the largest internet based retailers have already publicized pre-orders for next year.
Best Buy has announced that it is selling the "Pokemon GO Plus" accessory for $34.99. The earliest delivery date for the famous Pokemon accessory is set for Jan. 20, 2017.
Various resellers at Amazon are already pre-selling the accessory for as much as $130. Although Amazon was the first online retailer to publicize the pre-orders, fans of the "Pokemon GO Plus" accessory can take advantage of Best Buy's lower retail price.
Niantic and The Pokemon Company's accessory was first announced in September of this year. The "Pokemon GO Plus" accessory was immediately sold out hours after it went on sale.
Niantic Will Announce a new Batch of Pokemon on Dec. 12
In other news, Niantic will announce a new batch of Gen 2 Pokemon characters on Dec. 12. In a post by Digital Spy, the developers of Pokemon GO have announced that they will be releasing 100 new Pokemon to add to the game's roster.
Previous rumors have suggested that Niantic will release the new Pokemon on Dec. 8. But it seems that the promotion was not intended for the new Gen 2 Pokemon characters.
Pokémon GO is a free to play reality augmented game developed by Niantic. Smartphone users can download the famous app on the iOS and Android app stores.
The game has already hit the 500 million download mark on Sept. 15, 2016. Statistics show that Pokemon GO has 20 million active users in America alone.
It holds the record for the fastest game to reach $600 million in revenue in just 90 days. Interested gamers can check out the video below, which features YouTube user UnlistedLeaf trying out the Pokemon GO Plus accessory.
