Snapchat brings in the newest partnership with Shazam. Users can now Shazam a song from within a snapchat by pressing and holding the camera screen.

Snapchat mobile messaging application allows its users to send texts, drawings, photos and videos online to another user. The free app has reached million downloads in the app store in a short span of time since its initial release in early part of September in 2011. The popularity of Snapchat has answered the young people's need for constant communication. Snapchat was then considered to be one of the first messaging apps that gain popularity among android users according to The Verge


Shazam's Popularity


Shazam is famous among music enthusiast. This application has a music or audio recognition system that tells its users the title of the music. The popular app was released last April 2012 has now reached millions of downloads from the app store.  Shazam originally started with music recognition alone but has expanded afterwards to media, cinema and television environments. Its biggest milestone is the offline capability to record music around you and find its match later when you go online.

Shazam's music recognition is now being incorporated into one of the hottest messaging and chat applications today, the Snapchat. The newest update of Snapchat already includes the Shazam capability. Snapchat users can also send the recognized song or audio to up to sixteen friends as a snap. As the two companies announced partnership, it is expected to have a significant increase in the number of downloads of both apps and an overwhelming response from the application users. 


Many of the users are anticipating more feature updates from both applications in the near future in connection with this newest milestone added to the long list of the software updates.
