Google Nexus 7 Early 2017 Release Date On The Cards? Device To Sport Andromeda OS With Snapdragon Chipset?
Dheeraj RAmidst rumors that the Google Nexus 7 has been cancelled, the latest speculations suggested that the device might be released in early 2017 with new specs like Andromeda OS, huge display, Snapdragon chipset, and much more.
It was reported that the Nexus 7 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2017. Even Blass previously said that the device was touted to be made available in December 2016. However, a no-show till date has washed away all the speculations and increased the chances of Q1 release in 2017.
On the few reports touted that the upcoming Nexus 7 might also be released in the third quarter of 2017, as there is still no official word on the device from Google. Apart from the release date rumors, there are reports that the new Google Nexus 7 will sport the company's latest operating system touted to be named as Andromeda.
Gig Jets reported that the new OS is touted to be a combination of Chrome and Android operating system, which will provide the users with the same style of interface as that of the desktop computers. Furthermore, rumors hinted that the new variant of the Nexus 7 device will sport a 7-inch screen. It is also expected that the Google unit might sport powerful Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4 GB RAM capacity and 64 GB of internal storage onboard.
As far as the camera specs are concerned, the Google Nexus 7 is rumored to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera along with the advanced sensors for instance OIS and LED flash. Additionally, the device is also expected to consist of a huge 5100 mAh battery capacity along with a USB Type-C port for faster data transfers.
