Surface Pro 5 Latest News: Microsoft Partners With Mobile Provider; Tablet Likely To Feature eSIM Technology
AASalvadorSurface Pro 5 is most likely to feature a support for eSIM as Microsoft is reported to establish partnership with Transatel, a global mobile service provider. Microsoft Store may soon be selling these packages in stores.
Dr. Windows, a German Microsoft blog, suggests that both Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 will have a feature that supports eSIM. The small, but much talked-about, device will allow consumers more freedom to choose their data service provider. They will also have fewer obligations to stick to telecommunication companies once they are not satisfied with their services.
Having an eSIM will be convenient for the users of Microsoft's 2017 tablet as they will not be tied to a hotspot. They can have access to an Internet connection wherever they are. Moreover, travellers do not need to buy a second SIM because the eSIM will automatically adapt to the local plan or rate.
Surface Pro 5 is reported to be released in March 2017 with the latest Intel Kaby Lake CPU. According to some reviews, these processors provide a reasonable margin in its integer performance, boasting of a 12 to 19 percent bump, plus a more responsive turbo boost capability. Its battery life has almost three times increase from its predecessors. Interestingly, Kaby Lake notebooks are reported to last more than 9.5 hours of continuously playing a video.
The Microsoft tablet is a powerful gadget with a 4K display, higher RAM and storage options. The top-end graphics from NVIDIA and USB Type-C makes this two-in-one gadget truly worth the wait and one of the best.
The Windows 10 OS update is slated for March 2017, which is the same time the Surface Pro 5 is expected to be launched. Tech experts believe that the soon-to-be-released tablet from Microsoft will be the best platform to showcase the features of the upgraded operating system.
