The social media giant Snap Inc., finalized an acquisition in Israel recently, stated by Calcalist News. Snap Inc. bought a very young Cimagine, that only ran for four years, the company that is notable for its augmented reality creations that let users to instantly see its products that are of selection for buying in the preferred location. The deal reportedly amounted to $30 to $40 million.

According to a social media page, the bought out company works with furniture stores in southern California, Shop direct based in the UK and Coca-Cola. The bought out company's cloud platforms purpose is to help users to augment data, mobile apps and boost over the net conversions and sales.

Most probably, Snapchat will use the tech to further better promotions like witnessed in the past with, for example, Starbucks, which released a company inspired chilled summer drinks campaign last summer, giving Starbucks drinkers the ability to superimpose a lens over a picture of their icy Frappuccino beverage and send it to their friends.

Although suspiciously implying like a pirate move on staff, four imagine founders Egri, Avraham, Daube and Nevo were also part of the acquisition, also known for being specialists in their respective field. Crunchbase states that Cimagine had accumulated an unrevealed amount of seed funding, from iVentures Asia, OurCrowd, and PLUS Ventures. The company has been reportedly going for an IPO that could raise the value of the company to $20 Billion plus, and possibly by March 2017.

Lately rebranded as Snap Inc., Snapchat is familiar to have bought other companies this 2016. Flite, the agreement was illustrated as an acqui-hire, Vurb, a mobile search app, Seene, a computer vision startup that allowed users to create tridimensional self-portraits and Bitstrips, the app for making personalized emojis. Acquisition costs were estimated to be more than $250 million.
