GoPro Karma Ready For A Re-Launch: The Infamous Drone Expected To Return In 2017, But It Is Not Going To Be Easy

GoPro had a rough time last year when it had to recall its GoPro Karma drones after just releasing them in November. The recall was due to a technical defect that lead to the recall of the high-end drone just 16 days after the company launched it. The expected date is still not out yet, but GoPro claims to bring out the device by 2017.

At CES 2017, GoPro stated that it had done with the testing of their Karma drones and it will offer more details about the re-launch in February 2017. What happened to be a power loss within the drones in 2016 due to defective batteries, GoPro had to lead to a sudden recall of its hi-tech gadgets. It is very likely that the company is facing a heavy crisis as it looks forward to fixing what led to a degenerative sales and production value.

This has also led to extensive audits to maintain the reports for its Q4 earnings. The recalling of GoPro Karma drones led to a heavy loss for the company and that too when it was the holiday season. Holidays are meant to offer more sales to such products, but it looks like GoPro had all the bad luck heading over to it.

GoPro Karma Drones: The Hardships of 2017

A major concern now is that whether the re-launching GoPro Karma drones are going to get the same sales response when the gadget was launched last year. Above all, the company is going to face major competition from the likes of DJI which have already established themselves in the drone market. Moreover, DJI was even luckier when GoPro was not able to make up with the sales last year. Will GoPro Karma drones release this year change the fate of the devastated company? We'll get to know really soon when the product comes out later this year.
