The gameplay for "For Honor" is set in the medieval period with a fantas-inspired setting. Players have three different character options, namely The Legion, The Chosen and The Warborn. These three factions represent warriors, knights, samurai and Vikings.
Each faction game has four different classes: The Vanguard, Assassins, Heavies and Hybrids. According to Geeky Gadgets, Ubisoft has plans to add more classes before the game's official release. Lucky players selected for the closed beta will first experience these factions when the event starts later this month.
The "For Honor" closed beta is a private event where interested players can test the game before it comes out. Game developers usually conduct this kind of event, obviously, to test a game's performance and technicality. Developers also collect suggestions and comments from the beta players for the game's improvement. The private beta is reportedly set for Jan. 26 - 29, 2017 while the release will follow on the next month, likely on Feb. 14, 2017.
