Anroid Wear 2.0 May Possibly Launch On February 9, Update For Most Smartwatches Except First Gen Models!
Niyati S.Android Wear 2.0 will supposedly launch on February 9 for public sale and use. This information has been reported by several news sources and comes directly from @evleaks- who is a well-known information holder of these gadgets.
The Android Wear 2.0 was supposed to launch last year itself but the manufacturing company, Google, delayed its release. A lot of reports and rumors have since then been circulated about the Android Wear 2.0, particularly in the last few months. Either way, if the information tipped by @evleaks is true, everyone's wait may anyway be over for good.
Google had teased the fans and users of Android Wear 2.0 in December 2016 by circulating some pictures of the apps related to upcoming Android Wear 2.0. The apps included Foursquare, Glide, and Lifesum for Android Wear 2.0. The software update in itself will be nothing short of a boon as it will bring many new features and perfect old features. The whole interface and usability will be upgraded to a great extent. It will definitely help in making the smartwatches more productive.
Apart from the sneak peak about the apps for Android Wear 2.0, Google had also stated that Android Wear 2.0 will come for the smartwatches in 2017. Different watches will get different updates and features. With the exception of first generation smartwatches, most of the smartwatches will be updated to Android Wear 2.0. That means that Moto 360 (First gen), LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live and Asus ZenWatch will not be receiving this major update.
The Android Wear was first released almost 3 years back in March 2014. It came pre-installed in many smartwatches based on the Android OS. We haven't seen many Android Wear-based smartwatches being released in 2016. However, that seems logical as many manufacturers may be waiting for Android Wear 2.0 to market newer models of their smartwatches.
