After unveiling one of its first Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches back at the recently held 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event, Casio has now kept its word and released its latest product to the market. The new Android smartwatch from the Japan-based electronics company is the new Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20, which is now available to purchase on different online and offline retailers.

According to Android Authority, the Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 smartwatch is the direct successor to the WSD-F10, which is quite evident in its design and build. The biggest difference, however, is that the newer model now comes with a myriad of new features that takes advantage of the latest smartwatch operating system from Google.

The Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 now comes with a low-power GPS sensor that integrates seamlessly with the device's full-color maps. Additionally, users will be able to download different maps for offline use, which is actually perfect for those who are planning to trek to areas with low network reception.

The feature should be quite welcomed by hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts who want to have a device they can use without a constant data connection. Users may also use the device's new Location Memory feature, which essentially allows users to place text and markers on different areas of a map to keep track of where they have been and to label places they are planning to go to.

As for the watch's specs, GSM Arena reveals that the watch will be coming with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The display is a 1.32-inch panel that should be sufficient in showing the device's different data. Being a rugged outdoor product, the Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 comes with an MIL-STD-810G rating, which allows it to be submerged in 50 meters of water and withstand harsh shocks, dust, and drops.

The Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 is revealed to last for about two days on a single charge, but turning on the GPS will cut the device's battery life into just six hours. The smartwatch is currently now available for $499.
