Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace Latest Update: Specs, Features, Availability & Price; Will Leave Slim Wallets Mostly Intact
CJ EstimadaSamsung has unveiled a new variant on its entry-level segment smartphones, the new Galaxy J2 Ace, which packs impressive specs in low-budget value. In the Android realm, eyes are on the Korean tech giant to deliver its high-end Galaxy S8 to the masses. Buoyed by this, some of the company's other smartphone announcements may well cross the radar as well, such as its launch of the Galaxy J2 Ace.
Key Specs And Features
Specs-wise, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace will sport a 5-inch qHD display 960 x 540 PLS TFT display. In its chassis, the smartphone carries a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz, combined with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU.
The J2 Ace will have an internal storage of 8GB onboard, which can be further expanded up to 265GB via microSD card. Its software runs an Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with TouchWiz UI on top of it. 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, 720p video recording, a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio, points Samsung.
The device's highlight feature is not its dual SIM capabilities, but its support for 4G VoLTE. Nonetheless, S Bike Mode, Ultra Data Saving, and S Power Planning are its added features. The back cover has a rugged finish that offers a better grip. It was introduced as Galaxy J2 Prime in some countries last year.
Availability And Price
Moreover, the Galaxy J2 Ace might not sport its sibling's digital TV tuner, but the phone looks to be a solid smartphone for the young and first-time users. The Galaxy J2 Ace is available in India in Silver, Black and Gold, for 8,490 rupees or about $125, but do not be surprised if this budget phone makes its way to the U.S. and other regions in some capacity, according to Digital Trends.
