Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Price, Specs Roundup [VIDEO]; Samsung Invites Media For MWC 2017 Press Event, Teasing New Tablet
Vinay PatelContrary to previous reports that deemed the Galaxy S8 as Samsung's top drawer device at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017, the South Korean tech firm has confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S3 will be taking the center stage in the world's largest assemblage for the mobile industry which kicks off Feb. 27 in Barcelona.
Samsung has invited the media for its imminent press conference via mass email. The launch event is scheduled to commence at 7 PM local time (CET) on Feb. 26, just one day ahead of the MWC 2017. The event will be livestreamed at www.samsung.com/galaxy.
The invitation shows a brief glimpse of the Galaxy Tab S3's lower bezel. The teaser image also hints at a physical home button that appears directly below the display.
The tablet seemingly bears a striking resemblance to its precursor, the Galaxy Tab S2. Furthermore, the teaser image that hints at an impending launch of the Galaxy Tab S3 added more fuel to already burning rumors about the highly anticipated tablet's specs, features, price and release date. Take a gander at what these rumors suggest.
The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to boast a mammoth 9.7-inch display with 2048x1536 pixels screen resolution. A Snapdragon 820 SoC will be firing up the new tablet, which is likely to pack 4GB of RAM, according to a Korean website, Naver (via Gadgets 360).
The Galaxy Tab S3 will run on Google's latest mobile OS (operating system), Android Nougat out-of-the-box if rumors proved to the true. In the photography front, the 5.6mm thick tablet is expected to sport a 12MP primary camera. Moreover, it will be up for grabs in Wi-Fi as well as LTE variants.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will most likely come bearing a price tag of $600 in South Korea. It is rumored to hit the store shelves in March; however, there is no official release date associated with the Tab S3 at the moment.
For those unaware, Samsung unveiled two Galaxy Tab S2 tablets with 8-inch and 9.7-inch displays back in 2015. Both variants of the tablet were just 5.6mm thin and were trotted out as the "thinnest and lightest" tablets in their range.
With the Galaxy Tab S3's release date just around the corner, more details are expected to make their way on the internet sooner rather than later. Stay tuned in here for more updates!
