Blizzard Bans 22, 865 Korean Players For Cheating In 'Overwatch'
Switchy Sam"Overwatch" highly prohibits cheating in the game. Despite warnings, Blizzard has discovered huge numbers of cheaters in Korea. Cheaters use several third-party programs such as aimbots during battles to win which is unfair on part of other genuine players. Blizzard has banned around 22,865 Korean Overwatch accounts for cheating PCGamesN reported.
An important message from Blizzard
Blizzard reiterates that they want to create a "pleasant" gaming environment and experience for good players. The game developer uprooted this issue immediately to avoid any problems to take its roots on "good soil." This "good soil" pertains to the game environment of "Overwatch."
"Creating and delivering a pleasant game environment for the majority of good players is of paramount importance to us and we are committed to taking all the steps we can take to create, distribute and use our programs," said Blizzard.
"We are also aware of the fact that our programs are circulated through various communities, and we will prepare countermeasures."
The game developer has strongly stated about the adherence of rules, which is never to cheat in games. While Blizzard is taking strict action against cheaters, it cannot stop them from using unfair gaming techniques completely. Cheaters can pay an hourly fee on cyber cafes and play again. Through this, it provides another hope for them to play the game without spending another $40 on the same game.
Banned players can simply create another account and continue their ways of cheating, reported PCGamer. Despite the fact that restricting cheaters is not completely possible, Blizzard will continue to take vigilant actions to keep the game's community and environment clean against toxic players, especially cheaters.
