Huawei $100-150 Budget Smartphones May Be Released In The United States, FCC Certificate Confirms Dual Sim Model
JPAn unknown Huawei mobile device has appeared recently on the GFX bench. The unknown mobile device is only known as model number MYA-LO3. A number of reports have declared that MYA-LO3 is the not yet released Huawei Maya.
According to GSMArena, the Huawei smartphone found in the GFX bench was registered as having a MediaTek MT6737T (1.44GHz, 1 processor, 4 cores) under its hood. The report suggests that having this processor entails that the Huawei Maya will be a budget smartphone. The phone is said to be even cheaper than the Honor 6X.
The report also said that the Huawei Maya features 2GB of RAM and will run on Android 6.0. Aside from the recently released GFX bench, an FCC certificate with a Dec. 28, 2016 filing date also features a not yet in circulation Huawei mobile device.
The FFC certificate featured a Huawei device that is listed as model number MYA-123. According to the details seen in the FFC certificate, the MYA-123 will be a dual sim smartphone. The not yet released Huawei model will be powered by a 2,920mAh battery. The device will also support connectivity for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The MYA-123 will also have Bluetooth connectivity but the version was not specified in the FFC certificate.
A photo of the back of the not yet released Huawei MYA-123 has also surfaced. The photo revealed that the new Huawei budget smartphone features a swappable back plate.
According to reports, both units will be released as budget smartphones. The FFC certificate only proves that the phones will be released in the United States. This has led a number of pundits to speculate that the Chinese smartphone maker may be trying to infiltrate the budget smartphone market in the United States. Reports suggest that the Huawei Maya and MYA-123 may be released with a price ranging from $100-150.
