Cupertino tech giant Apple proved that they are really good in giving off subtle leaks about the upcoming 2017 MacBook Pro. Apple is in the beta stages of the next macOS called Version 10.12.4, but there are three distinct motherboard configurations in the OS that are apparently not available in current MacBook Pro laptops.

It is a puzzle what macOS 10.12.4 is targeting because it appears to be intended for a still unknown chipset. Experts dug up three files with ".plist" extensions which corresponds to the 2016 MacBook lineup. These include 13-inch models with function keys, 13-inch with Touch Bar and the bigger 15-inch variant with Touch Bar. However, the beta macOS' power management does not refer to the current chipset.

Pike's Universum believes that the interesting discovery is a confirmation of Apple's plan to marry the 2017 MacBook Pro to Intel's Kaby Lake architecture. The files in macOS beta are actually codes to make way for Intel's seventh-generation of chipsets. Intel is already manufacturing the new breed of chipsets en masse and upcoming Windows 10 laptops are expected to fit them in.

The puzzle pieces also come together based on the 2016 MacBook Pro experience. The machine has just released, but it appears that Apple deployed a sixth-generation chipset in them just to get to schedule, Tech2 said. Being seventh or sixth doesn't matter anyway because consumers bought them, catapulting Apple sales.

When will Apple release its 2017 MacBook Pro? Given that Kaby Lake is already available, the only missing piece is its corresponding macOS. Version 10.12.4 is still in beta, but there is a possibility that it will be finished by mid-June with Apple presenting it on Worldwide Developer Conference.

Hopefully by October, the beta will receive a proper macOS 11 tag and will be deployed together with the Kaby Lake chipset. There are theories that Apple will also support the new MacBook Pro with additional bundled apps before public release as well.
