"Rainbow Six Siege" has received heaps of changes in the past week that. Earlier, it was updated with Patch 2.1.0 Operation Velvet Shell alongside the reintroduction of the "Rainbow Six Siege" Starter Edition.

Patch 2.1.0

"Rainbow Six Siege" patch 2.1.0 is probably the biggest improvements that the game received. In the latest patch, the positioning of the weapon sights was reworked and yielded beautiful results.

The official patch notes state that the sights' positions in first person camera, underlining the space they take on screen, were inherited from their third person camera position. Aside from the change in weapon sights, the navigation interface has been updated along with the rank icons as well. Ubisoft said that there should be a few more of these great updates throughout 2017.

Operation Velvet Shell

The most recent addition to "Rainbow Six Siege" is the Operation Velvet Shell, which introduced two new Spanish operators, Jackal and Mira. In addition, it brought a new map to the game dubbed as Coastline.

Jackal is featured in "Rainbow Six Siege" as an Attacker who uses a device attached to his helmet to see enemy footprints on the ground. On the other hand, Mira is a Defender who mounts a one-way, bulletproof window even on reinforced walls. The window can be detached and players can shoot through the gap provided.

In addition, the recently added maps in "Rainbow Six Siege" are always free for everyone to enjoy. The new characters, however, will only be available to Year 2 season pass owners during the first week of release. Furthermore, Operation Velvet Shell also infused in new cosmetic options as well as new weapon skins and Elite sets for existing operators.

Starter Edition

Ubisoft brought back the Starter Edition of "Rainbow Six Siege" back to PC and this time it is for good. The Starter Edition is for $15 on Uplay and features the full game as well as all the modes and maps. The drawback of the Started Edition is that you will be locked into a limited selection of characters to choose from, says PVP Live.

With the "Rainbow Six Siege" Starter Edition, players can select among Rook, Mute, Smoke, Sledge, Ash, and Fuze. Moreover, the Starter Edition adds 600 R6 Credits to purchase up to two Operators of your choice, the DLC characters cost the full 600.
