TechTimes reported that jailbreakers had a hard time coming up with their own stable version of the iOS 10.2. Even well-known Chinese hacker Pangu has told its fans that there is a delay in the release of the jailbreak version for the said iOS update.
It is believed that the security patches that Apple released for its operating system have prevented hackers from capitalizing on the weaknesses of the iOS version. Jailbreakers have also not explained what has caused the delays in the jailbreak versions.
'Yalu102' jailbreak tool
Italian hacker Luca Todesco has released his jailbreak tool for the iOS 10.2 called "Yalu102" but is still in beta version. Many of those who tried Todesco's jailbreak tool noted that there were still a lot of bugs in the system that needed to be fixed.
How to prolong jailbreak versions
With the delay of the jailbreak releases, Value Walk advised iOS users to keep their jailbreak by saving their SHSH2 blobs. This will help them maintain the jailbreak versions they already have on their devices and not lose them when a new update arrives.
Another way to prolong the life of the jailbreak version is to block operating system updates. This will disable Apple from downloading and installing new iOS versions from devices which already have hacked iOS.
With jailbreakers still unable to keep up with the iOS updates, Apple has already introduced the iOS 10.2.1 to the public while the 10.3 beta version has been made available to developers. Do you think hackers will still be able to produce jailbreak versions of these iOS updates?
