Huawei wrapped up its Honor 8 Lite announcement, but surprises are still coming as another flagship, Honor V9, will soon be released on the international market. Since V9 looks more like an upgraded version of Honor 8 Lite, Huawei plans to rebrand it into Honor 8 Pro when it hits the road.

Honor V9 will launch in two variants with notable distinctions in RAM and internal storage. Huawei revealed that costumers will have the option of either 4 or 6GB of RAM. In terms of storage, options include 64GB or 128GB capacity.

The premium device is a legitimate eye candy through its 5.7-inch display that is capable of 2560x1440 QuadHD resolution. Costumers can also expect a flashy performance through its native 64-bit Kirin 960 eight-core processor. Battery life is no shy either as V9 offers extra juice with 4,000mAh non-removable pack, according to India Today.

Honor V9 is a very capable shooter with a dual 12MP rear cameras working at f/2.2 aperture and 8MP front cam, Geeky Gadgets reported. This setup provides the standard 12MP, but twice the accuracy and image capturing capabilities. Huawei boasts that their flagship phone produce nice pictures with vivid colors and excellent contrast that is comparable to other premium phones.

On the operating system department, Huawei deployed its custom ROM called EMUI 5.0 to achieve a balance between interface and performance. EMUI 5.0 is basically a derivative of the Android 7.0 Nougat, stripped of native features and tweaked to match with Huawei hardware perfectly.

Comparably, V9's little sister Honor 8 Lite is just a trimmed down affordable version of Huawei's latest offering. Honor 8 Lite sports a 5.2-inch display at 2.5D full high-definition. It offers two choices of 3-4GB RAM and 32-64GB internal storage respectively.

Huawei Honor V9 will initially launch in China on Tuesday, Feb. 28 although there is no schedule for its international release yet. The 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage version will sell for $378. Those who need more space and performance can opt for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage combo which sells for $509.
