If you are looking for a new iPhone this holiday season then you cannot miss out on Walmart's offer who is selling Apple's flagship iPhones at a discount just before Christmas. The U.S. retailer has discounted the price of iPhone 4S to $47 and iPhone 5 to $127 on a two-year contract or eligible upgrade.
On Friday, Dec. 14, Walmart announced the reduction in prices of the iPhones. Furthermore, reports also suggest that the U.S. retail giant will also sell the 16GB Wi-Fi only version of the third-generation iPad 3 at a $100 discount, reduced from $499 to $399.
"Nothing is merrier than iPhones on Rollback, just in time for the holidays. iPhone 5: Was $189, now $127. iPhone 4s: Was $87.97, now $47." All rollback prices are available in stores only," reads Walmart's Facebook post.
Its been just three months since the iPhone 5 launched and the device has gained high popularity in such a short span, with the smartphone selling like hot cakes. Retailers are quite aggressive with promotional offers with other retailers like RadioShack currently offering all iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S models at $50 discounts from their regular prices. Furthermore, RadioShack is also offering e-mail coupons for $10 credit on future purchases for every $50 spent during the holiday shopping season.
Best Buy has also reduced the prices of iPhones by $50 which will be offered till Jan. 5 next year.
"Walmart works closely with Apple to secure some of the strongest allocations of their products. That being said, inventory is a first come first serve basis so we recommend customers come early to secure their Apple product. We will not offer rain checks but customers should know we will be refreshing our inventory on an ongoing basis," said Sarah Spencer, Walmart spokesperson.
If you are looking to buy a new smartphone this holiday season will you have the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 at the top of your wish list?
