Windows 8, Microsoft's latest operating system for desktops, laptops, and tablets was launched in Oct. 2012, but has met with poor sales since its release. It seems that Microsoft is trying its best to push sales of Windows 8 and has released a couple of video commercials for 2013, in a bid to entice consumers.

Microsoft already has a series of TV commercials in its bag and will attempt to lure more customers with the introduction of its latest ones.

One of the new commercials features the song "Everything at Once" from Australian singer-songwriter Lenka. The commercial shows Lenka singing and some highlights of Windows 8 such as Maps and Mail working on a computer. The 31-second ad ends with the singer saying "Everything at Once".

Another TV commercial called "Free To Be Me" shows a user working on the Fresh Paint app from Microsoft. The 30-second TV commercial shows two third-party Windows 8 PCs, the Lenovo Yoga 13 convertible and the Asus VivoTab tablet in action. Additionally, it shows off Windows 8 features like Maps and the user sharing an image on SkyDrive.

Previously, Microsoft uploaded a commercial that shows a man trying to buy an engagement ring on a Windows 8 touchscreen notebook. Yet another Windows 8 TV commercial from the software giant shows a man working in a boring office cubical, who uses his Acer Windows 8 notebook to bring some excitement into his life by booking a trip to Rio.

Windows 8 has an all new user interface which is made of Live Tiles.

"Each tile on Start is connected to a person, app, website, folder, playlist, or whatever else is important to you. Pin as many tiles to Start as you like and move them around so it's just the way you want it," per Microsoft.
