It seems that 7-inch tablet are all the rage these days and we have another maker joining the fray. E Fun has just announced the Nextbook 7GP tablet. It features a 7-inch display, Android Jelly Bean 4.1, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and most importantly, a price of $130.

E Fun will be showing off the Nextbook 7GP in its booth at CES 2013 January 8-11. The Nextbook 7GP is E Fun's first model in its line of Nextbook Android tablets. As far as the complete specs of this $130 tablet are concerned, they are:

  • Android Jelly Bean 4.1
  • Dual-core 1.5GHz processor
  • 8GB internal memory
  • microSD card slot with support of up to 32GB
  • 1GB DDR3 RAM
  • High definition (1024 x 600) capacitive multi touch screen (high-definition in E Fun's view)
  • Front and back cameras
  • HDMI-out port to send 1080p HD video to an HDTV or computer
  • USB 2.0 slot
  • G-sensor microphone
  • WiFi b/g/n

E Fun claims the 7GP is optimized for Google Play and offers users benefits including:

  • Access to more than 600,000 apps and games, millions of songs and books, and thousands of movies in the Google Play Store (most low-priced tablets lack this option).
  • Capability to read, listen and watch content not just on the Nextbook but on any device including a desktop, laptop or mobile phone with Google Play's cloud feature.
  • Access to preloaded Android apps from Google including Gmail, Chrome, Google Talk, Google+, Google Maps, YouTube and much more.
  • 5GB of free cloud storage with Google Drive.

E Fun also announced that the Nextbook 7GP would come preloaded with a wide selection of apps including the Barnes & Noble NOOK Store, Net Nanny parental controls and CloudLink's "Productivity Toolbox", which includes numerous free applications such as 5GB of free cloud storage, free mobile security, wireless printing, and credit card processing.

Th E Fun Nextbook 7GP will be available in February 2013 and will retail for $129.99. This seems like a pretty good, entry-level, low-priced Jelly Bean tablet.
