It's been over four days since Apple rolled out its latest iOS update. Though Apple users were looking forward to getting some exciting features along with fixes for some of the long-pending issues, the Cupertino-based company was not able to deliver both the things together.
With the release of iOS 6.1, users of iPhones, iPads, iPods, and Apple TV did get many exciting and amazing features. But when it came to fixing issues related to Wi-Fi, 3G, and battery; the new version of Apple's mobile operating system seems to be lacking in the task.
Many users after updating their devices to iOS 6.1 started complaining about these problems, some of them were lucky to bring the devices to normalcy, but the same wasn't the case with everyone.
People experienced many kinds of problems like volume level complications, Siri's weird behavior, and auto lock bug in iPhone 4S with the iOS 6, but according to reports and users' response in tech forums the issues seem to be solved in iOS 6.1.
Talking about the auto lock bug, a user posted on Apple's support forum, "Issue Resolved in IOS 6.1 update. I updated my 4S yesterday to IOS 6.1 and up till now the autolock is working fine while using the AssistiveTouch option. So update to IOS 6.1 and the issue will vanish."
Sometimes users in hurry or because of little laziness don't reset their devices properly and end up having troubles like these. And many of them appear to be successful in getting rid of these kind of problems once they run a proper reset.
However, the major issues like Wi-Fi, 3G and battery drain are still affecting users even after updating to iOS 6.1.
These issues have been haunting Apple fans since the release of iOS 6, but it looks like that company's developers are not able to find the permanent fix for connectivity and battery related issues.
As Apples has not even issued any response regarding these problems, users are quite upset with the behavior.
"Battery life, is one of the strongest selling point of iphone5, but that too also compromised after these iOS updates. So our request to apple team,is that please consider this as serious issue, and fix the battery bugs in iOS," a post on support forum states.
"This is really, really bad. iOS 6.1 destroyed my iPhones 3G connectivity. Can't use my 4S like this. Please fix ASAP, is not a user or settings problem, iOS 6.1 broke my phone," another user posted.
The growing problems with every release of iOS are affecting users heavily and many of them are thinking of moving to Android or other OS-based smartphones.
"Apple I have always loved you. But I think it's time for me to switch to Nexus 4. I can't live like this anymore," an iPhone 3G owner posted.
