The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the latest and hottest smartphone of 2013 and a few lucky fans of the device can get it for free.
The South Korean tech giant will most likely sell at least 30 million Galaxy S4 units, but it's also giving some away as part of a contest. Samsung has 52 handsets ready to find new owners, with four lucky grand-prize winners also receiving a 55-inch Samsung Smart TV.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a powerhouse when it comes to specs, and it's definitely worthy of the flagship role. In terms of design, the handset has not changed much since the Galaxy S2, although Samsung spent half a year worth of advertising criticizing Apple for not changing its boring iPhone design. Samsung seems to stick to old designs as well, and the Galaxy S4 handset is still made of plastic.
On the other hand, although the Galaxy S4's design does not mark a dramatic improvement over its predecessor, the new-generation Samsung Galaxy flagship boasts a bigger screen, a better camera, a faster processor and plenty of other improvements. It is the world's very first smartphone to pack an eight-core Exynos 8 Octa processor with ARM's new big.Little technology under the hood. This technology is designed to boost performance and improve battery life.
The device will be available in two processor options, depending on region. Samsung has not detailed the distribution, but the Asian and European version will likely carry the aforementioned Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor, while the U.S. version will likely pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU clocked at 1.9GHz.
To win one of these 52 bad boys, check out this link and sign up for the latest email updates for the Samsung Galaxy S4. One drawback, however, is that the Samsung giveaway is for U.S. residents only. The company already handed out a few smartphones and will continue to give away one handset per day until April 21. The four grand prize winners to get a 55-inch Samsung Smart TV will be selected on April 22. Good luck!
