Talk is circulating about the next version of Android expected to be coming during the Google I/O to be held in San Francisco in May.
However, before the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie comes out from Google's corridors, a big question to be answered is which device will be lucky enough to come out as the first device supporting the latest version on Android.
So far, Google Motorola's X phone has been in the major chunk of rumors that talked about the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie's arrival.
Many rumors suggested that Motorola's X phone might be coming with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and this will be the first smartphone to feature the latest version of the Android OS.
However, there are a couple more devices warming up the rumor market: Google Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which are going to be launched sometime this year, are also said to be coming with the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
If the rumors about Key Lime Pie and these three upcoming smartphones are true, then it will be pretty interesting to see which device accompanies the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie in its debut.
The Motorola X Phone and Google Nexus 5 are expected to be announced during this year's Google I/O and people are pretty hopeful to see these three things being announced at the same event.
The Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is rumored to be coming with some amazing features, and gesture control user interface is said to be the biggest feature of the OS.
Many other rumors indicate pie-shaped user interface patterns and the name 'Key Lime Pie' is being given as the reason behind the pie shape.
If Samsung becomes successful in bringing out its Galaxy Note 3 with the launch of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, it will be a boost to the company's image once again.
The combination of Samsung's hardware and Android OS has worked really well on the market and users of Samsung Galaxy devices also appreciate the performance of their devices.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was the first Samsung device to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and most probably the same device will be running Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie also, once it is released.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one of the best phablet devices available on the market, and after getting the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, this device will be a gem to own.
However, the records of Android 4.1 and 4.2 Jelly Bean show that the first devices to run on these firmware updates were Nexsus devices, so we might assume this time also that Google might not let Samsung highjack all the popularity by not giving the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie advantage to its next Nexus device.
Google's Nexus 7 tablet was the first device to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, whereas Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 were the first devices to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
