The next-generation Samsung "phablet", the Galaxy Note 3, is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly-awaited releases this year, and a new concept now heightens anticipation.
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is yet to be officially announced, rumors and speculation are swirling all over the place. Now, a realistic-looking design popped up online, picturing a purported Galaxy Note 3 device that looks very promising.
Many smartphone/ phablet fans are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of a new Samsung Galaxy Note later this year, and various reports suggest the next-generation phablet could make its debut in September at the IFA event in Berlin, Germany. The newly-surfaced Samsung Galaxy note 3 concept aims to offer a glimpse into what to expect from the new device.
According to Concept Phones, the new Galaxy Note 3 concept is the work of uva7 dance. The device envisioned sports the familiar plastic material Samsung uses for its products, but this one has metallic edges. The bottom of the mockup device seems to have room for an S Pen, while thin, subtle bezels surround the display of the handset.
In terms of specs, the concept features a Galaxy note 3 with a Full HD 5.9-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, packing the Samsung Exynos Octa 5 8-core processor under the hood. Also onboard are 3GB of RAM, up to 128GB of ROM, as well as a micro SDXC card slot.
The concept Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also boasts a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera capable of 1080p video capture at 60fps. A powerful 3,600mAh battery is juicing things up, squeezed into a sleek form factor measuring only 7.9mm in thickness. As expected, the next-generation smartphone/ phablet would be rocking the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie mobile operating system.
While the allegedly 16-megapixel camera seems a bit farfetched and is more likely to be a 13-megapixel shooter, many of these purported specs could turn out to be the real deal. Keep in mind, however, that concepts and mockups do not mean this is the real thing and the final product will come out just like this. The Samsung Galaxy S4, for instance, saw some crazy designs before coming out, while the Galaxy Note 2 had realistic mockups. They're just designs in anticipation of the official announcement.
