The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been leaked and many users of the biggest selling smartphone of 2012 are enjoying the new firmware. At the same time, many Galaxy S3 owners are refraining from flashing it as it is not an official release.
The leaked firmware does deliver some amazing feature, but some holes are still present in the update.
The leaked version of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is found to be running properly and are offering many features that come with Galaxy S4. That's right - the Samsung Galaxy S3 is getting the Galaxy S4 features with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
The first thing to notice is the user interface that gets a major revamp in the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The UI has got the same look as of the Galaxy S4 smartphone and the functions inside are also like the Galaxy S4 functions.
The brightness slider has been updated in the display settings and you can adjust the brightness of the display manually when the option of Auto Brightness is off.
The lockscreen has also been updated and you can have different modified lockscreens of your choice with different widgets in them.
To access the Camera application in your Galaxy S3, you don't have to dig deep into your applications option. By a left swipe on your lockscreen will take you to the Camera of your smartphone.
The addition of toggles in the notifications and settings makes it easier for the Galaxy S3 users to scroll through different options and go into them directly without having to come back to the lockscreen and then select the options.
However, as this is a leaked version, there are many things missing like Air Gesture, Air View and Smart Scroll. The new camera options introduced in the Galaxy S4 smartphone are also missing from the leaked Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3.
We assume that when the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3 will be released, the missing features will be added.
