The Verizon HTC One Max is now official, as the massive phablet is now available for purchase on Big Red's network.
After Verizon "accidentally" spilled the beans regarding its pricing for the HTC One Max at a Mall of America event, the carrier has now officially launched the phablet. The Verizon HTC One Max costs $299.99 on a two-year contract, or $25.22 per month with a Verizon EDGE plan. Interested buyers who would rather purchase the phablet without a lengthy carrier agreement will have to shell out $599.99 to get the HTC One Max off-contract from Verizon Wireless.
The HTC One Max was already available on Sprint and with Verizon now joining the party, HTC phablet fans now have two choices to purchase the device. AT&T will be offering the super-sized handset as well, but it has yet to announce a specific for when the phablet will hit its network.
Phablets seem to be getting increasingly popular and the One Max is HTC's pledge for the phablet market. The HTC One Max retains the elegant and popular design of the HTC One and adds some treats of its own. The phablet sports a microSD card slot and a fingerprint sensor just below the camera, two features lacking on the HTC One.
In terms of specifications, the HTC One Max boasts a massive 5.9-inch Super LCD3 display with full HD resolution, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, and a microSD card slot for additional memory. Other specs include an UltraPixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter. The phablet comes with a large 3,300 mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, topped with HTC Sense 5.5.
With the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Nokia Lumia 1520 now available, the HTC One Max will have some serious competition on the phablet market. If you're interested in the Verizon HTC One Max, find it here on the carrier's website. As previously mentioned, the device is available for $299.99 when signing a two-year contract, $25.22 per month with Verizon EDGE, or $599.99 outright, without a contract.
