Verizon may soon welcome the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE (2014 Edition) to its lineup, as the tablet has just stopped by the FCC.

Samsung plans to focus on launching more tablets in 2014, but its existing slates are very popular nonetheless. The company has just unveiled a bunch of tablets as part of its new PRO line at CES 2014, including the much-rumored Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and three Galaxy TabPRO tablets with 12.2-, 10.1- and 8.4-inch displays.

Verizon subscribers, however, may have to settle for the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) with LTE support for now. The LTE version of the tablet has appeared in FCC documentation, suggesting an imminent launch.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a high-end tablet that was quite well-received. The slate reportedly saw good sales figures and helped the company see an impressive 40 million+ in tablet sales this year.

As a reminder, the tablet sports a 10.1-inch display with a high resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, packs a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (LTE version) under the hood, as well as a hefty 3GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) comes with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage capacity, with microSD card support for up to 64GB of additional memory.

Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, the popular S Pen stylus functionality, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with an update to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat expected for later this year.

It may not be the latest tablet from Samsung or part of the company's new PRO line, but the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) definitely holds its own and has plenty to offer.

It remains unclear at this point just when Verizon customers will be able to get the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) with LTE support, but the FCC documentation indicates an imminent release. According to the FCC, this version comes with model number SM-P605V and is compatible with Verizon's LTE bands 4 and 13.

Verizon has yet to make an official announcement and there are no pricing details currently available for this tablet, but we'll make sure to keep you up to date as soon as we learn more. Stay tuned.
